Upsetting news for new Lyft users out there: the Lyft promo code for new users — the only type of promo code there is — is now worth only $20, down from $25. Here’s the even sadder part: Some Lyft markets don’t get any promo codes at all, and Lyft isn’t saying which ones!
Does this mean Lyft is doing away with promo codes entirely? It’s possible, and Lyft is being very tight-lipped about it. Promo codes are still around for now, but I recommend that you act fast and use a code as soon as you can.
Promo code ‘freerideshare‘ is good for one free ride, up to $20. That’s as good as it gets!
Here’s the proof, straight from the Lyft Driver Portal:
The screenshot might raise a few questions: Is this true for ALL Lyft promo codes? At the moment, only Lyft drivers and promoters are given Lyft promo codes, and all promo codes have always rewarded the same amount of Lyft credit (aside from the occasional $50 promo code).
What’s the best Lyft promo code out there?
- My code, ‘freerideshare,’ currently gives the maximum amount of free credit: $20 toward your first ride
- Promo codes won’t work in some markets
- Other promo codes promising higher payouts are probably fake
- Use my promo code now, because promo codes might go away altogether!
If you’re thinking about trying Lyft, I recommend downloading the app right now and inputting my promo code asap, because promo codes could go away entirely. Your ride credits will never expire, so make sure to get the credits now before you the opportunity is gone.
Can’t get Lyft credit because you’re an existing user? Try this trick, or use Uber instead with Uber promo code ‘cws7s2.’
