I work for uber x. What do I do when I get a long trip and the rider only gets charged for the trip to his drop off.But then I have to drive back on my own dime. It’s like I didn’t really get paid since I had to drive back the same distance and time.

There’s not much you can do about dead head miles. If you think a trip will take you too far away, you can cancel.

You can use a destination. Put in your home address and likely catch a ride request back towards home.

You can request the refund on your dashboard. Go to Lyft.com/login, then the Vehicles tab

Is there a website to estimate Uber Transportation from Mesa Az to Phoenix az? And from Mesa Az to Chandler AZ? I need to do some advance planning.

Yes. You can go to uber.com/cities, enter your city, then enter the ride into their fare estimator. Or you can download the Uber app and input the starting point and destination. You’ll see an up front price estimate

I failed the background check because of a conviction from 1987, I had been driving for 11 months with no problems. Since 1987 I had been the director of the Substance abuse program at Atlanta Union Mission, I have also worked for the State of Georgia, supervising a group home. My question is how far back does check go. In 2004 I earned my degree with a 3.95 GPA. Help

I’m sorry to hear that they let you go for such an old issue. Background checks typically go back as far back as the records go. In the past, Uber generally didn’t look much further past 7 years or so, but would sometimes reject based on very old issues. They have become more strict lately, and they’ve been known to make arbitrary and unpredictable decisions about backgrounds.

You may be able to get reactivated if you continue to message them. In the mean time, try Lyft and delivery services like DoorDash, Postmates, Amazon Flex.

I as just picked up at LaGuardia Airport for a ride to Hauppauge NY (38 miles). I was told at the airport the cost would be $55.00. When I was dropped off, I was charged $165.00. Does anyone know how to contact Uber to compalin about this driver?

Hello. Your driver is not at fault, unless they took you on a long route. The pricing is automated. Your beef is with Uber. Contact their customer support. The best way to do that is from the ride receipt, which you can find in the app in Your Trips or at riders.uber.com.

OMG, I had the worst experience with my Uber eats app

Just got my food that I ordered at 11:40 at 1pm and was quoted 20-30 minutes!!!! One co-worker is already off her lunch and my coke wasn’t delivered with my order!!!! The driver said he got a double address somehow from the app but didn’t call me immediately to get directions. Very upset!!!! Terrible service!!!! My crispy chicken needless to say, isn’t crispy! Everyones food was cold and the driver just said. Don’t know what happened? Sorry!
Really, that’s it? Our order was cold, late, and expensive and Ubereats got their money!!!! So disgusted!!!

The first time I used Uber eats, it was great. Don’t know if I will use again.

They’re probably better off that way.
