For many Lyft drivers, scheduled rides can be a great way to make your earnings more predictable.
But scheduled rides can be few and far between. And it’s easy to miss out on scheduled rides if you’re not hovering over the Lyft app all day.
That’s where the Skeddy app comes in. Skeddy automatically discovers and accepts scheduled rides in the Lyft driver app.
With Skeddy, you can grab scheduled rides up to a week ahead.
“Skeddy is a handy AI-powered mobile app that helps you find the most profitable trips on Lyft. You can build a continuous chain of routes to save fuel and time!” – Anatoly from Skeddy

What is Skeddy? Automatically scheduled rides in advance
Skeddy is an app that allows Lyft drivers to automatically find and select scheduled rides.
Skeddy lets you set your ride criteria—distance, location, minimum payout etc—then the app finds and selects scheduled rides that match your criteria.
The main benefit of Skeddy is that you can automatically create a chain of scheduled rides that minimizes your downtime.
Another benefit is that you are free to accept or decline any scheduled rides that Skeddy selects.

How much does Skeddy cost?
Skeddy operates on a credit-based system. The app is free to download, then you purchase ride credits from the app store.
Ride credits start at $1 per credit, with volume discounts available. You are charged ride credits when you do a scheduled ride that was discovered by Skeddy.
Rides cost 1 to 10 credits depending on the length of the ride. You only pay for scheduled rides found by Skeddy, not for normal on-demand Lyft rides.
No credits are used if the ride is canceled by the passenger. You also won’t pay any credits if you choose to skip the ride, or if the ride is less than a $10 payout.
Currently all new Skeddy users receive 5 free ride credits, so it’s free to try the app and see if it works for you.

How to use Skeddy to get more scheduled rides
Overall, the Skeddy experience consists of setting your desired ride parameters then accepting or skipping any rides that Skeddy finds for you.
Begin by downloading the Skeddy app. Then, enter the phone number and email address associated with your Lyft driver account. This will allow Skeddy to connect to Lyft on your behalf.
Next, set your driving parameters: Your working hours, your minimum ride payout, and preferred ride length.
Set your preferred locations for rides. The Skeddy app will try to find rides near those locations. You can set as many preferred locations as you want.
Skeddy will find scheduled pickups up to a week in advance and automatically accept them for you.
Skeddy displays the rides in the app, where you can see more info about the rides and skip the ride if you don’t want to do it.
Discovered rides will display on a map in the app, which is helpful for planning out your routes.
After Skeddy finds rides, you can check your scheduled rides in the Lyft driver app to confirm that you accepted the ride.
Make sure to go online at the time recommended by the Lyft app, which is usually around 20 minutes before the ride.
Lyft scheduled ride quirks to keep in mind
The Lyft ride scheduling system isn’t flawless. Many of the issues that Skeddy users run into are actually issues with the Lyft ride scheduling system.
Riders frequently cancel scheduled rides. They can cancel without much penalty, so many Lyft users schedule rides only to abandon them later.
Another issue is that Lyft can reassign scheduled rides according to criteria that isn’t fully public. You may be on your way to a scheduled ride only to suddenly lose it.
Most drivers suspect that Lyft can reassign scheduled rides based on driver distance, so if you’re too far from the pickup location, you may lose the ride.
How to increase the odds of keeping scheduled rides
- Be online 20 minutes before the scheduled ride
- Be within a few miles of the pickup, if possible
- In the Lyft app, see when Lyft recommends to “Go online between” and be online within the first few minutes of that window
Even if you’re taking all of the precautions in the world, you can still lose scheduled rides. It comes with the territory. Skeddy doesn’t deduct ride credits for any ride that does not actually happen.
Does Skeddy work for Uber?
Skeddy does not currently work with Uber.
Uber has a feature called Reserve that allows drivers to accept scheduled rides in advance. It’s similar to Lyft scheduled rides, and Skeddy is working on adding Uber Reserve functionality to the app.
There is no current release date for Uber Reserve in the Skeddy app. Keep an eye on the app and their Facebook group for announcements.
Does Skeddy comply with the Lyft TOS?
We asked Skeddy if their service violates the Lyft TOS in any way, and they told us that, “Our app does not violate Lyft’s TOS in any way, so we have never run into any issues so far.”
