Uber credit card rewards: Get Uber Cash and free Uber One membership!

Updated July 6, 2023 By Doug HLeave a Comment

Credit card rewards are one of the most reliable ways to save on Uber rides and Uber Eats orders.

Currently, you can get rewards on Uber with Capitol One, American Express, and Apple credit cards.

You can get cash back on Uber purchases, free Uber Cash that you can use on any ride and order, or a free Uber One membership.

Capitol One cards: Get a free Uber One membership and cash back

Note: The Capitol One benefits below are valid from November 15, 2022 through November 14, 2024

If you have Capital One Savor, SavorOne, SavorOne Student, and Quicksilver Student, you can get a statement credit for the Uber One monthly membership when you pay with an eligible card.

After you pay for Uber One, the statement credit will cover the cost. That means free Uber One until the end of the benefit period or until you cancel.

For Capital One Quicksilver and QuicksilverOne, you are eligible for 6 months of statement credits to pay you back for Uber One membership fees.

To claim the offer, add the qualifying card to your Uber Wallet and use it to subscribe to Uber One.

What is Uber One?

Uber One is a monthly membership that offers:

  • $0 delivery fee on eligible food, groceries, and more
  • Up to 10% off eligible deliveries and pickup orders
  • 6% Uber Cash back on eligible rides
  • Cancel without fees or penalties
  • Full Uber One benefits

10% cash back on Uber and Uber Eats for some cards

In addition to the Uber One membership, you can get 10% cash back on Uber and Uber Eats purchases with Capital One Savor, SavorOne, SavorOne Student, and Quicksilver Student.

American Express Gold: $10 monthly Uber Cash

American Express Gold cardholders can get $10 in Uber Cash each month when you add the card as a payment method in your Uber profile.

You can use the $10 in Uber Cash for Uber rides and Uber Eats orders in the US. The only limitation is that the cash does not roll over—unused cash expires at the end of each month.

Your Uber Cash will automatically apply to your ride or order as long as you keep Uber Cash enabled as a payment option.

If the Uber Cash isn’t enough to pay for the entire ride or order, your primary payment method will be charged for the difference.

American Express Platinum: $15 monthly Uber Cash, $35 in December

American Express Platinum cardholders can get $15 in Uber Cash monthly and $35 in December. You can use Uber Cash for rides and Uber Eats orders in the US.

Add your card as a payment method in your Uber profilings to be eligible for the monthly Uber Cash.

There is no rollover for Amex Uber Cash: Any unused cash expires at the end of each month.

If your Uber Cash balance doesn’t cover the entire cost of a ride or delivery, your primary payment method will make up the difference.

American Express Corporate Green, Gold, and Platinum: 3–5% back in Uber Cash

American Express Corporate Green cardholders can get 3% back in Uber Cash on business rides and Uber Eats orders.

American Express Corporate Gold and Platinum cardholders get 5% back in Uber cash.

To enroll, create a business profile in the Uber app, then add and select your eligible Amex Corporate Card as the default payment method for your business profile.

You will be prompted to “Start earning Uber Cash,” and you will receive a confirmation email from Uber after you successfully enroll.

Book the rides and orders through your business profile and charge them to your Amex Corporate Card.

Amex cards do not currently offer free Uber One membership

A free Uber One membership is not currently a benefit of any American Express credit cards. Gold and Platinum Amex cards offer free Uber Cash that you can use on rides ore deliveries, but you do not get a free Uber One membership.

Only select Capitol One cards offers free Uber One memberships.
