DashPass members also get other special offers, like limited-time additional savings on orders or access to member-exclusive menu items.

Restaurants eligible for DashPass discounts have a DashPass logo. If your DashPass benefits didn’t apply to an order, you might not have reached the $12 minimum, or the restaurant is not eligible for DashPass savings.

DashPass free trial

You can get one month of DashPass for free if you have never tried DashPass before. Just remember that you will be automatically enrolled in the paid subscription following your first free month.

Grubhub+ is free for members of Lyft Pink, which costs $9.99 per month. If you’re not a Lyft user, the better subscription is Grubhub+ because it’s only $9.99 per month.

Some universities offer Grubhub+ Student Membership, which gives you the benefits of Grubhub+ for free. To see if your campus is eligible, open the Grubhub app, go to Account, then select Campus dining and search for your campus.

Are delivery memberships worth it?

Delivery fees on all the apps are typically $2–$5. Each delivery subscription is around $9.99 per month, so the membership typically pays for itself after around 3 deliveries.

If you consistently order delivery 3 or more times a month, a subscription is likely worth it.

DashPass reduces the service fee and the Uber One/Postmates Unlimited offer a 5% discount, so even one large order can make those memberships worth it.

Which delivery membership is the best?

The delivery subscriptions offered by DoorDash, Uber Eats, Grubhub, and Postmates are all fairly similar. Is there anything that makes one stand out from the crowd?

All of them cost around $9.99 per month, and most of them offer free delivery and other minor perks that amount to a small discount.

One advantage of DashPass is that it has a $12 minimum to get free delivery and reduced service fees, while Uber Eats and Postmates have a $15 minimum.

Grubhub+ also has a $12 minimum, but it does not reduce service fees.

The credit card you use may help you decide which subscription is the best for you. If you’re a Chase cardholder, DoorDash offers anywhere from 3 to 12 months of DashPass for free.

The list of available restaurants is not the same for each app, so ultimately the best subscription for you may be with the app that has all of your favorite restaurants.
